With Summer still in full swing and the opportunity to explore new areas, Dylan and I decided to go towards Mt. Baker, up to Mosquito Lake Road. With the intentions to practice shooting and getting pictures for projects, we had so much fun wandering down unknown roads. The first place we stopped and wanted to get pictures of was a one way bridge over a river. Once we got there, we scoped it out and our ideas started to flourish. From standing on the bridge rails, to climbing on risky steel platforms, our goal was to achieve impressive shots. After pushing our limits, we became consumed with action shots. I wanted to get pictures of Dylan jumping off driftwood pieces; these turned out well but the lighting wasn't the best. After multiple beach shots with action and scenery, we wanted to try another version of jumping off of the ground. I had Dylan jump 50 times just to get one shot that I liked. He is a great sport and muse for my ideas. The most common problem we have is losing track of time, we will get stuck on something and not even realize how much time has passed. Driving out into the wilderness with a camera is one of our most favorite things to do as a couple. The excitement for adventure and the opportunity to capture it with a camera is so much fun. Our ability to light each other's fire allows us to grow and have fun doing it.

Once we noticed a small road leading up a steep mountain, we were set to find our way up. After taking some unlabeled side roads we were shocked to find a small overgrown road that was just screaming for us to take. As we climbed the steep switch back road we started to come across some amazing "vistas". Once we reached the end of the road, we made it to the top and were greeted by an unknown rocky peak and surrounding valleys. We immediately crossed the logging trenches and started to explore. For some reason the lighting was spectacular around 5pm so we decided to take portraits of each other. The background and setting was one of the best and I was so excited to take pictures of Dylan. I was even comfortable enough to try out some new model faces for him, but they all looked ridiculous, of course haha. After about 1,000 pictures, we headed back into Bellingham to get dinner at Olive Garden! I'm not going to talk about what happened at Olive Garden because it was a ridiculous event that was filled with laughter and a bruise. But anyways! It was an amazing day, as always, and I posted some pictures of our day below!
