Over this past weekend I celebrated my birthday and turned 22! Having a birthday in the first week of June usually means that I have finals on my birthday. But luckily I was able to finish all of my projects and my internship at Keller Williams on the Friday before my birthday weekend. With a weather forecast of 80 degrees in Bellingham, I was more than ready to kick back and relax. This weekend was memorable for me not only because I turned 22, but also because I officially completed my undergraduate coursework and have earned my bachelor's degree in business management from WWU! I am so excited to move forward in life and follow my dreams.
Over my birthday weekend I enjoyed amazing food from my favorite places: Little Cheerful, La Fiamma Pizza, and tacos from a local taco truck. With good food, great company, and sunshine, this was by far my best birthday yet. I spent a lot of time outdoors. I brought a lunch to Larabee State Park and found a nice sandy beach to park myself at. It was so nice to relax and not have anything to worry about! On Monday night, my boyfriend and I heard rumors of northern lights in Washington. So at 10:30pm we drove from Bellingham up to the top of Mt. Baker. The stars were incredible, but unfortunately we couldn't see the aurora. We got back to Bellingham at 3am without hitting any squirrels or deer (woo!). Dylan and I have never seen the northern lights, so we are determined to find them! You can view an amazing picture Dylan took of the stars as well as some pictures from the beach at Larabee.
